My friends please bare with me! It has been a year and almost 2 months since my friend and mentor Clarence Kellogg went to be with the Lord!

 

It has been over a year since this man of God, Clarence Kellogg went to be with the lord! 

              AUGUST 31, 1940  –  AUGUST 25, 2019 !!!

There has been only a handful of men in my life who took the time to be a true friend and treat me like I was important! We totally had a love of music and a love of the Lord in common! Kelly did his best to put up with me and we had some moments, but he was and is still aand will always be a friend! I have not let go!

Where is this going? Well my favorite verse in scripture is –

Revelation 21:4 – He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, for the former things are passed away!

That is one of our blessed hopes as Catholic Christians!

Finally let us all try to be as determined as Kelly was to put God first in everything!

There is something to be said for positive thoughts!!

This will be short but sweet,,,

A new take on an old concept......

Hello friends! If this is in the least bit helpful, please let me know! For the last few years I have been dealing with my own happiness! I have found that in my own life that I had things in my life that were getting in the way of Robert being happy! 

The best was to explain what I mean is to ask you to pretend that your mind is a garden and you are the gardener! As the gardener you and only you are responsible for what grows in your garden! You can choose to allow weeds to grow and you can choose to allow weeds to grow with good fruit! Yet the garden grows much better if there are no weeds! We all know that the weeds will continue to grow and that weeding is something that you must do every single day! Then you must fertilize that garden!! How do you fertilize that garden? There are many forms of fertilizer! Good thoughts are a good start! Reading the Bible is also a good start, as well as reading books that make you happy, that have a positive message! I also found that praying everyday is one of the best things that you can do to grow good things in your mind! Also being around positive people! 

The Bible says --  Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will! 

My friends have a great week!! Smile! This has been a long time coming! I have started this many many times over the last few years! The time is right and this is needed! I know of so many people who are not happy with where they are at in life! I know so many people who are like me, very lonely! 

This the first post......just some thoughts....

 

My story! For 4+ years I had a very dedicated, tenacious person who was totally available whose one goal was to keep me out of the hospital! Which that person did quite well! About 4 years ago that person started to give me tools to help me with a myriad of things! From loneliness to depression to anxiety and the list goes on! Over the years this person came to know me better than I knew myself and was somebody who I considered to be a friend! But all good things must move to the next step!  The best analogy I can come up with is I was taught how to ride a bicycle with training wheels and now the training wheels are off so to speak!  Yet even though it feels as if I am alone, I believe I am still being watched! I have come a long ways in 4 and a half years!

The first thing I would like to say is -- the truth is we must choose to be happy and in choosing to be happy we must act! We must do something! We must have a routine! I also decided to walk, I walk everyday!! But I walk to places where there are people! I walk to Lucky and Target and Marshalls and Ross`s and other places where there are people! Then I actively start saying Hello to perfect strangers and they are for the most part friendly!
